On average, men die at a significantly younger age than women. The average life expectancy for American men is almost five years less than women (presently 76 compared to 81), however there is no biological reason for this. The reasons for the poor state of men’s health in America and around the world are numerous and complex.
Movember is a month-long campaign to raise awareness and funds for men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches on men's faces around the world. Through their efforts, vital funds and awareness are raised to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges. Since its humble beginnings in 2003 in Melbourne, Australia, Movember has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 3 Million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate across 21 countries worldwide.
Get amped up for the afternoon's NFL games by joining us on Sunday, November 23, at 11am for a flag football scrimmage between Giants Fans and Jets Fans at Idlewild Park in Springfield Gardens, Queens, as we rally support for men's health and the Movember movement.
This is a FREE event to participate in and spectate, however, any donation you can give to support the cause will be appreciated.
Footballs, blue and green colored pinnies and flag football belts will be provided for all participants. All participants must sign the QFL General Waiver prior to participation at the event, or submit the form below to reserve your spot today!
